I started this website in 2010 after I got laid off by my employer. I was a bank manager at the time. Prior to then, I had lived in South Africa and I held a position high up in private banking. Migrating to Australia meant that I would need to ‘fight in the trenches’ before I could climb the corporate ladder.
As it turned out, the Global Financial Crises (GFC) had other plans and that’s how I ended up ‘working from home’ and starting a blog about probably the most important thing to me besides my family—my Christian faith.
Well, I should have known better; the Bible teaches that we ought to have the Kingdom of God and its King—Jesus Christ—as our top priority. And so, I entered a new phase of my life where isolation and non-recognition by both the world around me and my wife at the time led me to searching for greater depth in my Christian walk.
